Sensational Indian driver, Karun Chandhok scored his second win of the day and that now makes it four wins in a row the Zhuhai international circuit. “We didn’t do any changes to the setting. We arrived, unpacked our equipment and got ready for the race” he said during the post race interview.

The Team E-Rain driver now leads with a 27 points advantage and only needs another four points to win the Championship.

New Zealand driver, Matt Halliday finished second in another close battle with Chandhok. Halliday stayed close with the Team E-Rain driver setting a best time of 1:30.722, just 0.067 second apart.

Hans Lin also set a double when he came in third, collecting another 10 point bringing up his total to 64, just one point behind American driver Seth Ingham.

Indonesian driver Ananda Mikola (Eurasia Motorsport) finished fourth. CT Motorsport driver Ingham came in fifth while teammate Timothy Barber collected 5 points for the team in fifth place. Jeffrey Lee of Champ Motorsport was the last to cross the line in sixth.

Non-finisher Denis Lian had another bad outing when his car stalled at the start, he then managed to catch up with the pack ahead but took turn 5 too wide and spun, taking out Michael Ho with him. Lian currently stands in seventh with 25 points, two points ahead of the Champ Motorsport driver, Ho.

Newcomer Marchy Lee, who has been standing in for Al Fardan in Team Meritus, was faced with a troubled start, beginning with a vibration in the car during qualifying and a gearbox problem that saw him sliding wide off turn 14 straight into the gravel on lap 16.
