Karun Chandhok moved clear in the Formula V6 Asia by Renault Championship after completing a faultless weekend around the Zhuhai circuit to add the Grand Race win to his victory in the Super Sprint.

Indeed, together with the extra point achieved for pole position in the first race, Chandhok comes away from China with a maximum 31 point haul and is now eight points ahead of Ananda Mikola in the driver's standings.

"An absolutely perfect weekend," the former British Formula Three driver said after his lights-to-flag triumph. "Pole position and two wins. Today the car was really fantastic right from the beginning and I ran with a full fuel tank.

"I knew early on that Matt and Hanss had new tyres and I really had to get on with it in the early part of the race to have an advantage. I pushed like hell in the first few laps and I got the early gap.
